CHARLIE. I am actually quite a sweetheart, but I have one flaw that is serious for some people: I think cats are prey. I can't help it; it just is in my genes. So I need a home with a secure yard and no small animals. I like older kids and love to play with other dogs. But I am something of an escape artist, and I like to go exploring. So if you have a home which is cat-free, and if you have a nice fenced yard and are willing to give me a little training, I'm sure you will not want to be without me. I'll love you dearly and appreciate my forever home. (By the way I am an adorable red smooth dachshund, neutered male, and I'm 2 years old and weigh 11 pounds. Beyond cute!) The adoption fee is $350. The fees include spay/neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordetella, pyrantel, advantage treatment, grooming including nails, as well as complete exam at our doxie vet. Each dog comes with all new doxie halter, new toys and blankets. All in all, an investment greater than the adoption fee. Please go to -inc.org. Kids over 10 are ok, but no cats less they've been raised with them, or other small prey animals (these are hunters).
