Lyra Domestic Longhair Senior Female in Portland, Oregon

My story
You can find out more about me and Animal Aid's adoption process at Basics: Meow, I’m shy and sweet Lyra. My life was a calm, stable one before my person had to go into assisted living. I need to go home with my brother, Liam. Me and my 4 brothers all lived together in a quiet home with our beloved person and it really turned our world upside down to leave the only place and person we’d ever known after 10 years. I was very shell shocked for weeks and I would cry out in grief barely moving from my hidden bed. Then my brother, Liam, came to stay with me and we cuddled up really hard and helped each other out. Now I’m in a great foster home with him and the people here have helped us come out of shells more and more.

Liam and I still cuddle often and are a security blanket for each other. Sometimes we have little sibling spats but they are brief and mild.Likes: I love petting once I feel safe and I will purr so loud and drool! I’m still a shy girl but I will come ask for petting.Dislikes: Loud or new situations really scare me so no dogs or children for me please.Looking for: A patient and loving home for me and my brother. My estimated birth date is 11/7/2009.*All cats at Animal Aid have been spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV and Felv, microchipped, and are up to date on core vaccines. Please note: due to our screening preference to view the potential home and interview the prospective guardian, we rarely adopt out of our local Portland metro area.
